            Back mid week last week, amazing sun on one side, cross to Wales what do you know ....rain!

            I was told a dealer picks pups up from licensed breeders, puppy farmers, and those friends of both who sell them under their friends licenses, but, are completely unlicensed and unknown to the vat man!

            Any way the dealers will not take the pups unless the pups have seen a vet and had their first inoculation. This one guy I was told about then goes to this pub for a bar snack. So armed with 3 inoculation cards I sat by the bar, leaving them out in sight. He sat really near, every one sort of knew him and nodded. After a while I asked if I could read the sports section of his paper, and after that we got chatting. He thought I had pups to sell as he saw the cards, I said no and that I thought I had a buyer and put the cards away. He said he’d picked up pups that day and had buyers, I said I bred Cavaliers, he was really hurting to have them. He asked if another dealer was on his patch?  I said mine were really only 5 weeks to young for the parvo jab, but this other buyer was only coming this week so said pretend their 6 weeks, he said that was fine it happened all the time. As long as they were weaned and had a card that sort of matched the pup and a pedigree that would do. He even told me how cards were faked and innoculations faked too. He told me, really the pet shops had no idea what they were getting and nearly all the pedigrees were made up, and half the time he got them muddle and gave wrong ones with wrong  pups. I asked if my pups did not sell what would happen. He said he picked up older pups and sold them back to breeders as breeding stock. I

If a real defect was found and he knew where it came from he returned it and got one that was ok in return. He laughed and told me how hew got a real cute white boxer, He said it was in the shop window a whole week, people tapping at it and all that, then someone realized it was stone deaf. I said what happened to that, he said the breeder gave him a good one and got rid of the rubbish he expected. I agreed to meet him with my pups that afternoon and then slipped away. I doubted any one would care about him and his vans registration, but told those who say they are out to prevent cruelty any way.

        Maybe I should be an investigator, it seems easy, interesting, infuriating, and enlightening, definitely fulfilling, but what to do with this info other than tell you I really do not know!
